this and my video others site will likely be my most link-y sites -- i.e., least root text-y. i would still like to include some explanatory information here, either for individual videos or what may be going on between etc. one thing i want to clarify off the bat is that even though my video essays (hitherto) have been content-specific and in that regard assume knowledge of the topic at hand, the intention is generally to use those specific topics to open up larger questions (though i don't always earmark when i'm doing that)
